ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking collaborative and results-driven ServiceNow Data Analyst Summer Student to join our IT Systems Management team for the summer term. This position will provide valuable hands-on experience in managing and analyzing data within our ServiceNow platform. The successful candidate will work with members of our IT teams to enhance data accuracy, reporting capabilities, and overall functionality of ServiceNow.

This position is based out of our Downtown Calgary Head Office, with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.

Analyze, report, and address inconsistencies in foundational platform data

Analyze and manipulate large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within the ServiceNow platform

Collaborate with IT team members to gather requirements and develop data solutions that meet business needs

Ensure data integrity and consistency within ServiceNow by introducing and performing regular audits and data validation checks
Participate in the creation of user guides and training materials to help end-users understand and utilize ServiceNow data features effectively

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following essential qualifications and experience:

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Actively contribute as a member of the hydro leadership team, collaborating on strategic initiatives, sharing safety insights, and supporting continuous improvement across hydro operations.
Review safety reports, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), confined space permits, fall protection plans, and Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA) audits/inspections; ensure quality control and follow up on outstanding items.
Arrange and/or deliver safety-related training (e.g., confined space, fall protection, first aid, bear awareness, contractor authorization to perform work training etc.).
Lead and coach incident investigations; prepare and share safety alerts, lessons learned, and incident presentations.
Manage contractors: review, inspect, maintain training records, and ensure accurate reporting of hours for metrics calculations.
Develop and review tailboard materials, safety meeting topics, and project safety management plans.
Attend and contribute to safety group meetings, team check-ins, and corporate audits.

ABOUT YOU

Serve as Chief Power Engineer for the Keephills Power Plant.

4–6 years of relevant experience in thermal/gas-fired power generation or a comparable industry (additional experience considered an asset).
Hands-on experience with Switchgear/MCCs, motors, generators, transformers, power system analysis, protection and coordination. Turbine control systems, DCS, PLCs, fire alarm systems, and SCADA a plus.
Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based software
Project management experience is an asset.

Work with the People & Talent team to understand core business needs, define business system requirements and recommend application solutions and configure as well as test the solution in SuccessFactors
Investigate and implement automated solutions to improve operational efficiency using the HRMS application
Ensure application data integrity, system access, and data distribution is managed appropriately
Manage the various system instances and refreshes
Manage semi-annual system releases including evaluating and identifying changes, testing and change management with affected teams
Coordinate work as assigned, including planning work priorities, creating documentation, partnering with the technical team, ensuring all testing is complete, and approvals obtained before moving changes into the HRMS production environment

We currently have an opportunity available on our team for a Labourer. Reporting directly to the Hydro Supervisor, you will assist in operating and maintaining the Seebe and/or Spray plants, based out of the Seebe office, about 80 km west of Calgary. You may also be asked to assist activities at other hydro generating stations within the province.

As a Labourer, you will lead and coordinate activities within a 0-3 month time span and is accountable to ensure the safe, compliant, and reliable operation and maintenance of these Hydro plants.

This role is based out of Seebe, Alberta, and is a full-time safety sensitive position. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment testing.

Serve as Chief Power Engineer for the Keephills Power Plant.
Operate the facility safely and in compliance with company policies, procedures, standards, regulatory and legal requirements, and union collective agreements (including the Safety Codes Act, NERC, AESO, IBEW).
Operate the plant in compliance with environmental operating approvals and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with the Alberta portfolio optimization and compliance teams to oversee unit availability declarations.
Develop, recommend, implement, and manage operating procedures, and policies to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant.
Manage a comprehensive safety and compliance training program for all power plant operators, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and operational best practices.
