ABOUT THE ROLE

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our TransAlta team to support our Field Administration group. This role reports directly to the Supervisor, Field Admin Connect and will support the day-to-day administrative responsibilities for our Growth team at our Boulder office. 

 

This role is a part-time, in-office position (16 pers week) located at our Boulder, Colorado Office. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

 

  • Apply administrative procedures and policies; distribute to staff internal memos as well as all general and non-confidential head office memos (press releases, etc.); liaise between head office and staff

  • Provide administrative support during day-to-day activities

  • Create purchase requisitions, maintain accurate supplier records and verify that all invoices are accurate, entered, approved and paid promptly

  • Maintain a filing system for all documents, including paper documents or electronic storage

  • Provide staff with assistance with HR issues, and maintain up-to-date records 

  • Manage access authorization documents and documents for all staff members and visitors (if applicable), such as keys to operations and maintenance buildings, security codes, appropriate information on insurance, code of conduct, etc.

  • Oversee the organization of facility, promote good local public relations and foster a positive team-oriented work environment

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

 

  • Proficient in Microsoft products such as Word, PowerPoint, with advanced knowledge of Excel (including macro creation and graph generation) and a strong knowledge of SharePoint

  • Ability to priorities competing demands, make efficient use of their own and others’ time, and deal with a wide range of tasks using sound judgment when responding to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment

  • Positive approach to problem solving, with a high level of tact and diplomacy

  • Ability to recognize and deal with confidential information with absolute discretion

  • Experience with the SAP system

  • Experience in reception and office management.
