ABOUT THE ROLE 

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team Treasury & Cash Management team as an Analyst, Treasury Reporting. Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Treasury Cash Management, you will be responsible for providing technical accounting support to the banking and treasury functions including Corporate Finance, back office, and cash management. This role works closely with several internal stakeholders including Corporate Reporting, Corporate Finance, Legal, and Corporate Tax. The Analyst, Treasury Reporting reports to the Supervisor, Treasury Cash Management. 

 

Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Treasury Cash Managementyou will work with a wide variety of internal corporate teams and business units. This role also interacts with representatives from the financial institutions that provide our banking services. This is a fulltime, office-based role with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule (days in office & days at home). 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO  

 

  • Responsible for preparation of quarterly/annual financial reporting assistant package items for all hedging activity, foreign exchange, financial instruments, and interest expense

  • Ensure accurate and complete recording, in compliance with corporate accounting policies and practices, of all treasury related transactions. This includes financial derivatives, debt issuances and repayments, interest expense and income, foreign exchange gains and losses, share issuances and repurchases, and inter-company transactions.

  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of the monthly treasury report, which includes detailed analysis against budget/forecast for treasury related financial statement accounts

  • Prepare, manage, and maintain monthly general ledger account reconciliations including bank reconciliations

  • Accountable for lender reporting obligations under various credit facilities and indentures, including covenant preparation

  • Provide analytical and accounting support to various corporate groups (Corporate Reporting, Tax, business units, etc.) regarding foreign exchange, hedging activities, financial instruments, and hedge accounting

  • Manage all intercompany dividends and distributions to facilitate cash optimization and adherence to agreements, which includes recommending amounts to management and obtaining legal documents required for execution

  • Provide cash management support for integrations of new companies, acquisitions and divestitures as they relate to banking, intercompany financing, and system requirements

  • Ensure compliance with the Financial Exposure Management Policy (FEMP) as applicable

  • Ensure reporting processes and key controls maintain SOX compliance

  • Point of contact for internal and external audits

  • Support special projects initiated by Corporate Finance and Corporate Tax as well as system testing for upgrades

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU  

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in cash management or treasury accounting

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; possession of a professional accounting designation (CPA) or progress towards completion is highly desirable

  • Demonstrated expertise in cash management practices and treasury transactions

  • Profound knowledge of accounting standards and reporting requirements pertaining to cash management and treasury activities

  • Familiarity with SAP, particularly experience with the TRM module, is advantageous

  • Experience dealing with financial derivatives, particularly in relation to interest rate and foreign exchange risk management, along with a deep understanding of their accounting and economic implications

  • Exposure to hedge accounting in previous roles is considered a plus

  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Meticulous attention to detail in all tasks

  • Proven track record of being a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment while effectively managing multiple tasks independently
