We are currently looking to a hire a full-time Corporate Paralegal to join our Corporate Secretary team. Reporting directly to the Assistant Corporate Secretary,you will be a key member of the Corporate Secretary team working closely with our Corporate Lawyers, CEO office support staff and legal support staff to provide support to our executives, officers, directors of our Boards, and business units.


This role is based out of our Head Office in Downtown Calgary, with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. The expectation is to be in the office at least three days a week and upon request. You may also need to work some evenings and weekends. 




You will have Corporate Paralegal experience with reporting issuers and be a CORES Accredited User. You will have a strong work ethic, possess a mindset of continuous improvement and growth, and are a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.


Right from the start, you will learn about:


  • Preparing for and facilitate Board and shareholder meetings
  • Preparing and submit corporate and securities filings (including Annual Information Form, Management Proxy Circular, Management, Discussion and Analysis, etc.)
  • Supporting the business units in respect of their corporate related inquiries or transactions
  • Working as member of a collaborative team to share your corporate knowledge and take the initiative to identify process improvements
  • Providing meaningful support in achieving the Corporation's corporate governance goals 


You will be expected to work with professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, integrity, accountability and independence. Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, together with self-composure, a sense of urgency, resilience in the face of change or feedback, and a positive attitude are attributes for success in this role. 




  • At least 1 year of working experience as a corporate paralegal
  • CORES Accredited User
  • Administrative, legal Assistant Diploma or Certificate
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential
  • Familiarity with corporate filings, including SEDAR filings
  • Familiarity with board portals (e.g., Diligent) and GEMS database knowledge is considered an asset
