ABOUT THE ROLE

 

TransAlta is looking for a Sales Support, Customer Solutions role to play a key part in enabling the success of our Customer Solutions team within a multi-commodity energy sales environment.  This role provides operational, administrative, and customer focused support. This position works closely with Sales, Credit, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure customer transactions are executed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with business and compliance requirements.

This role is wells suited for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to support sales activities, values accuracy and organization, and takes pride in delivering a strong customer experience. You’ll be part of a collaborative team environment where attention to detail, clear communication, and proactive problem solving are essential to supporting customer solutions across a dynamic and fast paced business.

This role is based out of our office in Calgary head office.  This is a full-time, office-based role with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE

 

  • Support the Customer Solutions sales team by coordinating day-to-day administrative and operational activities that enable successful customer transactions
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal teams and customers, responding to inquiries and ensuring timely follow up
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and tracking of customer contracts, pricing details, and supporting documentation
  • Maintain accurate customer, contract, and sales data within internal systems and tools
  • Collaborate with Sales, Credit, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure customer solutions are executed accurately and efficiently
  • Proactively identify issues or gaps in information and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them
  • Help manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced, customer focused environment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements that improve efficiency and the customer experience
  • Assist with RFP preparation for large aggregations including data preparation, contracts and other organizational tasks

 

 

ABOUT YOU

 

  • You have a minimum of five years of professional experience within a multi-commodity energy sales environment is desirable
  • You ideally have a background dealing with larger commercial & industrial customers
  • You have an understanding of standard electricity and natural gas products and various customer profiles
  • You have experience in sales support, customer service, administration, or a similar customer facing or operational role
  • You bring strong communication skills and are comfortable working with a variety of internal stakeholders and customers
  • You are highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks at once without losing accuracy
  • You take a proactive, solutions focused approach and enjoy supporting others to achieve shared goals
  • You are comfortable working with systems, databases, and Microsoft Office tools
  • You thrive in a collaborative team environment and value building positive working relationships
  • You demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a strong commitment to service excellence
  • You are adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic business environment with changing priorities
