ABOUT THE ROLE

 

We have an exciting temporary opportunity for a results-driven Procurement Analyst to join our Shared Services team. As the Procurement Analyst, you are a key member of the supply chain management team that will be responsible for gathering and interpreting data to develop actionable steps to optimize results. This role is based out of our Head Office in Downtown Calgary, with the flexibility for a hybrid work schedule (days in the office & days at home). Please note that this is a temporary position for 12 months. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

 

  • Review purchase requests from internal stakeholders and prepare, send and file Purchase Orders on a daily basis.

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Responsible for daily maintenance of existing Purchase Orders

  • Identify cost and process improvement opportunities for assessment

  • Support the execution of the end-to-end competitive bid process

    • Utilize standard templates for all strategic sourcing activity including but not limited to RFx templates, contract agreements, scopes of work, service level agreements, and letters of agreements

  • Develops, implements, amends and monitors supplier contractual agreements

  • Provides category and strategic sourcing subject matter expertise as applicable

  • Ensure adherence to Company Policies, Processes and Work Instructions

  • Support SCM team members as required

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

 

  • University graduation or professional certification 

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Materials and Services

  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing requirements and practices

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to assist in the development and execution of supplier contract agreements

  • Possesses a team spirit and strong collaboration skills

  • Ability to build and manage relationships with various stakeholders

  • Previous experience using SAP & integrated procurement system would be an asset
