ABOUT THE ROLE

 

We are seeking collaborative and results-driven ServiceNow Data Analyst Summer Student to join our IT Systems Management team for the summer term. This position will provide valuable hands-on experience in managing and analyzing data within our ServiceNow platform. The successful candidate will work with members of our IT teams to enhance data accuracy, reporting capabilities, and overall functionality of ServiceNow.

 

This position is based out of our Downtown Calgary Head Office, with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.

 

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE

 

  • Analyze, report, and address inconsistencies in foundational platform data
  • Analyze and manipulate large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within the ServiceNow platform
  • Collaborate with IT team members to gather requirements and develop data solutions that meet business needs
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency within ServiceNow by introducing and performing regular audits and data validation checks
  • Participate in the creation of user guides and training materials to help end-users understand and utilize ServiceNow data features effectively
  • Audit the ServiceNow Knowledge Base for article quality, develop findings report, and work with Service Management leadership to address

 

ABOUT YOU

 

To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following essential qualifications and experience:

 

  • Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Excel, PowerBI, and ServiceNow
  • Proficiency in C#, .Net, and Python is desirable
  • Familiarity with data visualization techniques and tools
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
