TransAlta Energy (Australia) Pty Ltd employing through TEC Operations Pty Ltd operates and maintains 6 Power Stations in Western Australia. With a 20-year history in the State, we provide safe, clean, and reliable power to large mining and industrial customers and have invested significantly in stable, long-term contracts.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Coordinator, Operations and Engineering, assist our project and plant managers in organizing our ongoing life extension and sustaining capital projects.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Creating, developing and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
- Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings
- Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
- Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings
- Determining project changes
- Providing administrative support as required
- Undertaking project tasks as required
- Developing project strategies
- Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
- Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable
- Solid decision-making skills to manage outcomes, including the timeliness of decisions
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Engineering degree
- Previous experience in a related/similar position
- Demonstrated knowledge in contract and project management
- Capability to understand and articulate complex technical issues to both a technical and non-technical audience
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Industrial construction and maintenance knowledge - specific power generation experience is an asset
- Awareness and understanding of applicable regulations and legislation that apply to the power generation business in Australia
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- As required, travel to sites throughout Australia
- Valid Police clearance (within the last 6 months)
