ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our team at our Melancthon Wind Facility located in Shelburne, Ontario.

The Administrator, Melancthon plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the plant by managing administrative functions that contribute to safe, compliant, and reliable performance. This full-time, salaried position includes coordinating office activities, handling transactions, administering work management systems, supporting data entry and processing, and assisting with site-specific HR processes. The role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and independence, along with strong judgment, composure, and a positive attitude. Success in this position depends on accuracy, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and effective communication, all within a dynamic team environment that demands flexibility and responsiveness to daily priorities.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Develop and maintain office procedures, policies and to circulate inter-office memos and all general, non-confidential memos from Head Office (Press Releases etc.) to staff, and liaison between head office and employees
  • Provide support to the Operations Supervisors with day to day operations relating to office administrative duties
  • Complete all accounting requirements including supporting the preparation of the annual operating budget for O&M of the wind plants
  • Create purchase requisitions, maintain accurate vendor records and ensure all invoices are accurate, coded, approved and payments issued in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all shipping & receiving of spare parts and RMA equipment is done accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide reception duties for the O&M Facility;
  • Control office supplies inventory
  • Provide general staff support as needed
  • Accountable to ensure all vehicle registration, licensing and insurance is current.  Report staff vehicle usage for annual taxable benefits recording
  • Accountable to create and maintain a filing system for all archived documents including data entry, paper, or electronic storage and records keeping for all departments

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Post-secondary diploma in Administration is strongly preferred although consideration may be given to those without a diploma, but possesses tangible and proven experience and skills
  • Proficient in excel, word, data entry, and filing
  • Experience reforecasting, analyzing financial trends, and looking for cost-saving opportunities
  • Experience in SAP
  • Experience with reception and office management
  • Operating knowledge of general office equipment such as fax and photocopier
  • Demonstrated capability to prioritize and reschedule priorities as needed
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with basic office administration practices.
  • High attention to detail with consistent follow-through.
